What is GATE?
The 4th Gathering for Adventure Therapy in Europe" (4GATE) invites both experienced specialists and enthusiasts who work with clients in the outdoors or wish to transfer therapeutic and experiential education methods from indoor spaces to the outdoors to gain new perspectives and better work results.

The conference program offers the opportunity to gain theoretical and practical knowledge about adventure therapy, experiential education, working with clients in nature, facilitating therapeutic processes individually and in groups, environmental education, as well as gaining emotionally enriching personal experiences.

Led by over 70 esteemed specialists from Europe, Australia, Canada, UK, USA, and Africa, the event will feature GATE lectures held within the grandeur of the Sigulda Castle Pavilion, complemented by outdoor workshops designed to foster hands-on learning experiences.

In the field of adventure therapy and its subfields, representatives from various disciplines such as medicine, pedagogy, psychology, social work, adventure tourism, personal growth, and team building have been collaborating interdisciplinary for 25 years. It has been integrated into the education, medical, rehabilitation, and social work systems abroad. GATE is held every two years in one of the European countries, so we invite you to take advantage of the opportunity to attend it in Latvia.
