Description
SymposiumThe symposium will pay tribute to Dr. Jens O Andreasen, a pioneer in the application of technology to improve the prognosis and treatment of dental trauma, a condition that affects over one billion people and to which Dr. Andreasen dedicated a lifetime of research. Dr JO Andreasen worked at the University Hospital of Copenhagen and passed away in September 2020. Dr Andreasen is an iconic figure in the study of dental trauma and also a pioneer in the use of technology to improve the diagnosis and treatment of dental trauma.
The concepts and applications of e-(oral)Health were tested during the recent COVID pandemic. Thus, the perfect scenario was set up to globally apply the results of e-(oral)Health research and development from the individual clinician to organizations and governments. During this symposium, the successes and failures observed during the application of e-(oral)Health knowledge will be discussed as well as the questions that remain open for future research.
The symposium will both be a celebration of Dr Andreasen’s life and work and an opportunity to identify and develop future research on e-oral health both in primary and secondary care.
