Description
An exploration of AI applications in pediatric dentistry, their benefits, and the challenges of clinical implementation.AI is everywhere, but what is its potential for pediatric dentistry? How does it work, and what are its advantages and limitations? In this lecture, we will explore AI-driven diagnostic tools, such as deep learning models for caries detection and their role in assisting pediatric dentists in clinical decision-making. We will also discuss the growing availability of open dental image datasets for AI training and their potential to improve diagnostic
accuracy and treatment planning. However, despite its potential, AI comes with challenges, including bias, ethical concerns, and what kind of research is needed for its clinical application.
