Healthcare protocols and services are required to be organized in compliance with universal principles of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, to ensure that well-being, safety, and interests of children are protected. Pain is one of the most common symptoms presented in unwell children. It is crucial to ensure children get healthcare services of the highest standard (Article 24 of the Convention), including appropriate pain control.. Evaluation of the observance of Children’s rights has been performed in the multi-specialty pediatric department of Children’s Clinical University Hospital in April-May 2022.
