Description

Football is played by 250 million players from more than 200 countries, both amateur and professional. As more women participate in football in Latvia, it is important to evaluate and analyse their health status and movement pattern to reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases and injuries to ensure that athletes can perform at their best. . Prospective study was performed at the Sports Laboratory- FIMS Collaborating Centre of Sports Medicine, April 2022. The study was approved by the Ethics Committee of LSMA. After collecting information from athletes about demographic data, medical history, complaints, training program, cardiopulmonary exercise testing and running technique analysis were performed.
