Description
Transgenerational transmission of eating habits is mediated by the interaction of genetic and environmental factors. Therefore, it is important to explore the development of dietary habits in a population over time. They are also closely related to the recently topical concepts as nutrition literacy and sustainability. The dietary habits research data from the 1970s and 1980s will serve as a reference point to identify how modern eating habits have been shaped by various circumstances and to assess how different socio-economic, environmental, and food availability factors affect the population's diet.
