Teleworker Choices of Information Sources on Home Office Ergonomics during the COVID-19 Pandemic in Latvia

Description

Due to the pandemic, many employees have had to shift to remote work in order to adhere to COVID-19 restrictions. This has been a challenging transition for many workers and employers.
In Latvia, remote work was not uncommon before the pandemic hit, but it became more popular when pandemic started.
However, most companies were not prepared for the rapid increase of teleworkers that the pandemic made. As a result, the transition to remote work occurred quickly and without enough time to set up optimal workstations.
In conclusion, it is crucial for workers to prioritize ergonomics when working from home to maintain their health and well-being. We found that many workers were not initially consulting their employers or occupational health and safety experts for guidance on ergonomics.
