The importance of the hydrogen economy for the EU's energy transition and the decarbonisation of transport will also be analysed.

The most important challenges facing the EU economy on its path to climate neutrality.This objective is at the heart of the European Green Deal, and is protected by the European Climate Law . The Law sets the intermediate target of reducing net greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by at least 55% by 2030.Furthermore, a wide set of necessary technologies for strategic sectors such as renewable energy, digital, aerospace and defence are of paramount importance. However, some obstacles exist and should be moderated. Such as Member State Disparities with uneven capacity and interests among EU countries.
