FOUSP student undertakes sandwich doctorate in Latvia

Rafael Garbim, a PhD student from the University of São Paulo (FOUSP), has embarked on a 10-month sandwich doctorate program at Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) in Latvia, under the supervision of notable professors. Motivated by RSU's advanced technology and research opportunities, he will collaborate on a project focused on non-invasive dental caries therapies and contribute his expertise in minimal intervention therapy, an area still emerging in Latvia. This opportunity is supported by a FAPESP scholarship, enhancing international collaboration between Brazilian and Latvian institutions while recognizing RSU's growing reputation in dental research.
