For this discussion, we invited Associate Professor Madara Auzenbaha from Riga Stradiņš University, who is also the Chief Physician in the field of rare diseases at the Rare Disease Coordination Center of the Children’s Clinical University Hospital. As the year comes to a close, we reflected on the achievements so far and discussed the tasks ahead in the field of rare diseases for the coming year, emphasizing the importance of innovation in the treatment of rare diseases. M. Auzenbaha presented the planned activities of the "National Mirror Group" in the context of rare disease monitoring and service planning.
