Starting in 2022 year the state has paid for mastectomies/reconstruction surgeries for breast cancer patients. In 2024 year this option was also used for patients at high genetic risk for hereditary breast cancer. Currently - in 2025 - the state does not pay for preventive mastectomies/reconstructions for potential breast cancer patients.
