Biomarkers in the diagnostic algorithm of myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome



Purpose: searching for biomarkers in the diagnostic algorithm of myalgic encephalomyelitis / chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS). 1) Age and gender data of 134 patients with ME/CFS, as well as the course of the disease. Age and gender data of 54 healthy individuals. 2) Detection of virus (HHV-6, HHV-7, B19) infection (latent or active) markers in peripheral blood of patients with ME/CFS and healthy individuals. 3) Detection of cytokine IFN-y, IL-17A, IL-2, IL-21, IL-23, IL-6, TNF-a levels in plasma samples using Luminex multiplex technology. 4) Detection of antibodies against b2 adrenergic receptors (AdR) and M3/M4 acetylcholine receptors (AChR) using ELISA. 5) Detection of activin B level using ELISA.
