Description
This dataset supports a study investigating the relationship between the gut microbiome and autism spectrum disorders (ASDs). ASDs are neurodevelopmental conditions influenced by both genetic and environmental factors, with growing evidence linking gastrointestinal disturbances and gut microbiome composition to behavioural symptoms through the gut–brain axis. The dataset contains 16S rRNA gene sequencing data generated from faecal samples of children with ASD to characterize gut microbial composition. It also includes files containing clinical information and urinary organic acid profiles.
