Description
The dataset includes twenty-eight Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy with attenuated total reflectance (ATR) spectral data in a CSV file of Latvian honey samples: Clover honey (Trifolium repens, code: Clo) - 3 samples; Linden honey (Tilia cordata, code: Lin) - 4 samples. Willow honey (Salix cinerea, code: Wil) - 4 samples. Rapeseed honey (Brassica napus, code: Rap) - 2 samples, Buckwheat honey (Fagopyrum esculentum, code: Buck) - 5 samples. Heather honey (Calluna vulgaris, code: Hea) - 3 samples, Apiaceae honey (Apiaceae sp., code: Api) - 2 samples and Raspberry honey (Rubus idaeus, code: Ras) – 1 sample. Spectra of Latvian honey samples were compared with commercial Manuka honey (Produced by Oha Honey LP (Masterton, New Zealand).
Attenuated total reflection (ATR) spectroscopy spectra of all honey samples were taken with Thermo Fisher Scientific Nicolet iS5 with a diamond crystal. Spectra were recorded from 500 to 4000 cm−1 with 32 scans and a resolution of 4 cm−1, optical velocity of 0.4747, and aperture of 100%.
