Description
The dataset contains coded textual data that characterise climate change narratives in a diverse set of information sources. The sources include political (political party programmes, recordings of Cabinet of Ministers’ sessions, recordings of Parliamentary sessions, speeches of the President of Latvia), media (print and on-line media), business (websites of most valuable Latvian enterprises from different sectors) and society (websites of different civil society organisations representing social and government partners, professional associations, environmental organisations, socio-political and human rights’ organisations, and youth and children organisations). The data has been produced using hand-coding analysis of over 2000 different records. This study has been supported by the Latvian Council of Science in the framework of the project No. lzp-2020/1-0047 “From indifference to making difference in climate policy: improving the interaction between political narrative and societal perceptions in Latvia”.
