Elucidating comprehensive etiology of cervical insufficiency

Dataset

Description

The dataset was generated for the project titled 'Elucidating the comprehensive etiology of cervical insufficiency to facilitate timely diagnosis of preterm delivery and prevent adverse outcomes in obstetrics.' The study included 107 patients, and phenotypical data relevant to the study's objectives was collected. Women with a history of second-trimester pregnancy loss, extreme preterm birth (22-27 weeks), or those receiving routine antenatal care were examined for a short cervix or cervical insufficiency and recruited when treatment for cervical shortening was necessary. A gynecologist collected and documented the data, which includes detailed gynecological and obstetrical medical history, responses to Beighton and Brighton criteria, and brief coverage of general health and family history.
