Description
The dataset contains survey data characterizing the opinions of Latvian residents on various aspects of climate change and its relevance in society. The survey was conducted between May 15, 2021, and May 26, 2021. Within the study, sources of information on climate change were identified, and trust in these sources was assessed. The target group of the study consists of permanent residents of Latvia aged 18 to 75 (n=1009 respondents were reached, with a distribution representative of the general population). A stratified random sampling method was used for respondent selection, with administrative-territorial division as the stratification criterion. The survey was conducted through face-to-face interviews at respondents' residences. The data were weighted based on region, gender, ethnicity, and age. The study was carried out within the RSU project “The Narrative of Climate Change in Latvia: Searching for ‘Golden Opportunities’ for Civil Society, Economy, and Foreign Policy” (22080103).
