Survey on food waste awareness, generation and measurement in retail and food service sectors: The case of Latvia, January 2023

    Description

    Data were collected to acquire the understanding of awareness, attitude and actions towards prevention and reduction of food waste generation in the retail and food service sectors in Latvia. Moreover, study aimed to investigate the socio-economic context and to assess the potential role of food waste prevention in the Latvian economy. The scope of the data set: Nationally representative sample of economically active food retail and food service enterprises registered in Latvia. The final data set consists of responses from 205 enterprises (81 retail enterprise and 124 food service enterprises). Data were collected through combined data collection methods: computer assisted web interviewing (CAWI) and computer assisted telephone interviewing (CATI).
