Description
Data were collected to acquire an understanding of awareness, attitude and actions towards the prevention and reduction of food waste generation in households in Latvia. Moreover, the study aimed to investigate the socio-economic context and assess the potential role of food waste prevention in the Latvian economy. The scope of the data set: A nationally representative sample of permanent residents of Latvia aged 18 to 75. The final data set consists of responses from 1007 respondents. Data were collected through direct interviews in respondents’ households.
