Description
The dataset represents data obtained within the framework of a study on the impact of different types of running shoes on running economy and biomechanics in elite long-distance runners. The study compares three different types of running shoes: conventional running shoes, track super-spikes, carbon-plated shoes, and barefoot running. The dataset consists of three separate but interrelated Excel files (worksheets) following a unified formatting structure. These files reflect: physiological parametres, running kinematics, and biochemical markers: blood lactate concentration measurements. The dataset's purpose is to analyze the influence of Advanced Footwear Technology on running economy and biomechanical compared to other technology running footwear. The results provide a scientific basis for the impact on Advanced Technology Footwear on running economy and biomechanics in elite long-distance runners and can be used for future research to futher analyze the working mechanisms of Advanced Footwear Technology and its impact on running economy and biomechanics.
