Dataset

Description

The data file contains data from a quantitative cross-sectional study of Latvian women aged 25-70 years. The aim of the study was to determine the prevalence of human papillomavirus (HPV) and associated factors. Accordingly, the study instruments were a vaginal self-collection kit and a self-completed questionnaire containing questions on socio-demographic, health status, health-related behaviours, knowledge and attitudes about cervical cancer prevention. The sample was developed using the convenience sampling method (women visiting colposcopy specialists of the Outpatient Department of Riga East University Hospital or their family physician (10 practices throughout Latvia, 2 per each of the 5 regions)). The data file contains information about 1279 respondents. Data were collected from February 2021 to April 2022.
