Description
he BALANCE4LV research project addresses underexplored work-life balance aspects in the context of evolving workplaces and challenges like digitalization in Latvia and the European Union in general. It will develop a survey tool, building on validated data collection instruments, to assess and monitor working conditions and risks, well-being, including mental health (e.g., digitalization-induced stress), personal resources, job-crafting, and organisational outcomes, such as absenteeism, organisational citizenship and turnover intentions. Secondary data analysis of the survey data from later stages of the COVID-19 pandemic in Latvia will serve as a baseline for primary data collected during the project. Future plans involve developing next research project using the newly developed survey instruments for ongoing monitoring, providing insights into work-life balance dynamics and mediating factors. The project aligns with Riga Stradiņš University's priority area: "Complex study of ergonomic factors impacting workplace productivity and employee well-being.
