Project Details
Description
The primary objective of this study is to investigate the alterations in the serum levels of interleukins IL-22, IL-24, and IL-26 of the IL-10 family as factors that affect inflammation in individuals with overweight and obesity. The aim of the present project proposal is associated with the completion of the following tasks:
- investigation of the changes in serum levels of the target interleukins of the IL-10 family, specifically IL-22, IL-24, and IL-26;
- comparative analysis of the levels of the examined interleukins and other biochemical blood parameters for potential association;
- comparative analysis between basic anthropometric features as indicators of general and central obesity, the levels of the examined interleukins, and the other biochemical serum parameters as well as their evaluation as factors related to the inflammatory process.
