Project Details
Description
This application suggests designing one central databank for information on media ownership in 12 member states of the European Union. These countries complement the 15 EU countries under scrutiny in EurOMo (Connect/2020/7319235). Four groups of indicators (legal, economic, performance, technical) will feed into the central database, which is scalable and accessible online, and available by the end of the project EurOMo15. The theoretical approach is based on the structural ownership and on principal-agent theory. Methodological triangulation helps
reducing the complexity of the project. An external board supervises all research operations.
