Project Details
Description
Professional para athletes with physical, vision and intellectual impairments who participated in the 2024 Paris Paralympics were tested in live tracking mode by using different biomedical sensors and thermoregulatory, biomechanics and bioenergetics response wearables, and were interviewed to evaluate needs and assess their experience.
Key findings
Integration and connectivity for live tracking of metrics to measure para athletes' body reaction to the physical load and enhance safety during sporting events with particular reference to para athletes at increased risk of exertional heat stroke and illness.
