Novel biochemical and morphological factor analysis and influence in right ventricle function

Project Details

Description

Acute pulmonary embolism (PATE) or recurrent episodes can cause serious long-term complications, including chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension and right ventricular failure, which can be manifested as progressive dyspnoea and reduced exercise tolerance.
In case of induced pulmonary hypertension, the evaluation of lung tissue samples for the expression of different tissue markers should be performed in an experimental model to quantify the efficacy of meldonium. By determining the factors of tissue anti-inflammatory, remodelling and growth, it would be possible to observe the effect of the drug on the pathological changes of pulmonary hypertension at the tissue level in the lungs and heart.
