Project Details
Description
The network of Occupational therapy in the Nordic and Baltic countries was established in early 90s as a Nordic one, but has in the last decades expanded with partners from the Baltic countries. In this project period two new partners fully joined our network.
As the only occupational therapy (OT) network in Nordplus, we work to reach high quality OT education and development through mobility, supportive relations and cooperation between the partner institutions. Over the years we have found this strategy to be the most effective for outlining and appreciating similarities and differences in OT practice and education in countries in the near. The activities within the network also provide our students to gain international experience that help them grow professionally as well as personally.
Our work organization include annual face to face meetings as well as regular online meetings where we discuss international opportunities in our universities that we can offer our partners, as well as planning intensive courses and deciding on principles how the mobility grants will be divided between the partners.
As not all the countries have the possibility to send students abroad for longer period, we have decided that International weeks and other international events provided by our partner institutions are good possibilities for express mobility and provide more equal opportunities for all the partner institutions to participate.
