Project Details
Description
The project aims to increase RSU's participation in international research projects by preparing project proposals evaluated above the quality threshold in the Horizon Europe programme and upcoming 10th Framework Programme (FP10) and to strengthen participation in ERIC consortia and ESFRI platforms.
The project will support the goals of Latvia’s Smart Specialisation Strategy (RIS3) by developing research capacity in the fields of health and biotechnology, strengthening cooperation with international research infrastructures, and contributing to the development of Latvia’s RIS3 research and innovation ecosystem by enhancing bioinformatics resources – a crucial foundation for the growth of a knowledge-intensive bioeconomy.

Key findings
As a result of the project, RSUs and their Latvian partner organisations’ capacity to participate in international research will be strengthened, increasing the number of researchers and the quality of research outputs.
