Project Details
Description
This project will put a claim for one of the most extensive studies on willingness to fight for one’s own country. The project will, based on nationally representative surveys in all NATO member states, determine the levels of willingness to fight for own country, as well as identify the factors and actors contributing to the willingness in NATO member states. The findings will be generalizable beyond NATO and will contribute to the research agenda on willingness to fight for one’s own country with new hypotheses and recommendations. The motto of the project – fewer but higher impact deliverables. The centrepiece deliverable will be a single, but a high-level publication published in a renowned scientific journal. We aim to create one of the best and best-cited articles regarding willingness to fight for one’s own country. The draft article will be reviewed in a closed online expert workshop and discussed at a global-level political science conference. On top of that, a popular science article will be published on an American think-tank platform, and at least two videos will be created and published on the main conclusions of the research project.
