Abstract
Neurofibromatosis type-1 (NF-1) -is a common genetic disease effecting the skin, subcutaneous tissue peripheral nerves and bones (tibia pseudarthrosis). Immunomodulatory viruses HHV-6 and HHV-7 are classibdng as a genus of roseoloviruses of subfamily fl-herpesviruses. Reactivation of HHV-6 and HHV-7 inhibits immune system and indirectly promote to other infectious agents. The article deals with a unique case repot of two repeated transplantations offibula due to congenital tibia pseudarthrosis caused by-NF-J. Results of the transplantations, related to active and latent HHV6 and HHV-7 infection in a 6 years old child are discussed in the paper.
