Abstract
This chapter explores the basic principles of open science and discusses the benefits and strategies of writing research articles using open protocols. It outlines the convenience of utilizing open protocols for writing research manuscripts, promoting transparency, and enabling other researchers to replicate studies effectively. The chapter highlights the importance of publishing in open-access publications and the value of data repositories that adhere to the FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) principles to ensure that research data is easily discoverable and usable by others. This chapter is a guide for researchers to improve transparency, accessibility, and reproducibility of their scientific work for the benefit of the scientific community and society at large.
