Abstract

Congenital malformations of the intestine are mainly due to vascular insult during the fetal period or due to malrotation of the gut during pregnancy. In this chapter the embryology is explained as well as the clinical picture with signs and symptoms, the diagnostic procedures and the different surgical techniques applied.
