Abstract
The current evidence, with at up to five years’ follow-up, does not show a clinically meaningful difference between hemiarthroplasty (HA) and total hip arthroplasty (THA) performed for elderly patients who have displaced femoral neck fractures. However, based on expert opinion, the use of THA may be considered for younger and more active patients.
