Abstract
Nowadays technological development has achieved a whole new level. Artificial
intelligence is a reality, which is substantially replacing humans in multiple areas,
for example: certain therapeutic procedures, translation, military sphere. The field
of law has always been rather conservative, but there is also a tendency towards the
acclimation of artificial intelligence technologies. Now the introduction of such
technologies is linked rather with technical solutions that are not directly based on
artificial intelligence, such as automated case allocation systems, automatic taking
of minutes of court hearings in the court system, i.e., the progress of a court hearing
is recorded fully in the course of the procedure using sound or vision recordings or
other technical means, etc. This might be only a temporary solution as artificial
intelligence may indeed have multiple uses in court proceedings. Artificial
intelligence could be applied in procedural actions other than adjudication, such as
assessing the formal conformity of cassation appeals with procedural legislation.
The existing legislation does not as yet provide for the use of artificial intelligence
in court proceedings. Today’s challenge is to determine the possibility and scope of
using artificial intelligence in court proceedings and formulate relevant laws.
The research deals with problems relating to the legal aspects of using artificial
intelligence in cassation proceedings in a criminal and civil proc
