Abstract

Invention relates to pediatric surgery and particularly to predictionof acute appendicitis in children. A method allows to predict acute appendicitis in children aged 7 to 16 years with abdominal pain. The method provides for measuring values of several parameters and asigning to each of them 1 point. All points are summed. Acute appendicitis is predicted if during the first 1‑24 hours after the onset of abdominal painthe score is 5‑6 points, 6‑7 in the following 25‑28 hours and 7‑9 points in the following 49‑72 hours.
