title = "Participation of international organisations in solving the problems of the agricultural sector of Ukraine",
abstract = "Ukraine really matters to the global food system. The Russian-Ukrainian War disrupted global trade, creating a crisis not only in Ukraine but in other countries that depend on its grain shipments. Here, we analyse the activities of international organisations to mitigate these problems and propose further scenarios for solving acute issues with their participation. We consider the most acute problems in Ukrainian agriculture that also impact global food policy; and priorities in solving the issues of farming in Ukraine that have implications for practical research, policy and agribusiness.",

note = "Funding Information: Ways are being developed to support the agricultural sector and avoid a global food crisis. Thus, the Government of Ukraine has abolished tax audits for enterprises and fixed a tax rate of 2% of turnover for producers instead of income tax and value-added tax []. A loan programme also enables farmers to take up an interest-free loan of UAH 60 million for a period of 6 months []. One of the most original ways to support Ukraine{\textquoteright}s agricultural sector is the Victory Gardens initiative [] initiated by the organisation for support of governance reforms in Ukraine with financial assistance from the Ministry of the Interior of Canada to encourage citizens to plant fruit and vegetables and forage on their private plots in order to meet their own food needs and support local communities.
