Abstract

Proteolytic ferments in combination with heparin bring about more rapid subsidence of oedema, cleansing of wounds and alleviation of pain in paraproctitis after the abscess has been opened. The authors report their experience with 509 hospitalized patients and more than 1000 outpatients who were treated in this way.
