Abstract

This chapter deals with the preparation of the Materials and Methods section. This section enables objectives to be achieved with results that are valid and replicable, thereby ensuring that it is well-founded and scientifically sound. The chapter describes the objective of the Materials and Methods section and its importance. It explains the role of the theoretical framework in the methods section, what its components are and establishes a road map on how to advance its preparation and manage this section of a manuscript. The different research methods, tools, and techniques to use will be discussed, as well as the study design, data collection, and analysis procedures. In addition, the theoretical framework will be addressed.
