Abstract
The article aims to evaluate the problematic stages of successful luge
sportsmen career development and current situation in luge sport. Several
recognized psychology theories are used, evaluated and related to
successful luge sportsmen career development in Latvia. The author
analyses results of a survey conducted among Latvian and Russian junior
team members of luge sport to draw conclusions which contribute to further
development of luge sport in Latvia.
