Abstract
A rare case of fetal malformation of the face in a stillbirth is reported. The results of histologic and radiologic studies indicated the possibility of a cleft lip 'healed' or regenerated in utero. The X ray studies also revealed lesions in the corresponding side of the maxilla. The authors suggest that certain lesions in the soft tissues of the skin are probably due to mechanical factors.
