Abstract

The way Latvian and non-Latvian residents have been treated in Latvia’s press has been studied for more than ten years. Although the situation in the country has changed, just as the content of newspapers has, the portrait of the “non-Latvians” (usually implying the Russian-speaking minority) in the Latvian-language press has for many years retained constant features and uniform approaches.
